Players always want to get more shiny pokemon, even with little chance in Scarlet and Violet. Luckily, you can do a few things to increase your odds of encountering a Shiny Pokemon. This guide explains how to get Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

How to Get More Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Mass Outbreaks

Mass Outbreaks are events where many Pokémon of the same species appear in the same place. The emblem of that Pokémon with a colorful swirl behind it represents an outbreak. Shiny possibilities increase by eliminating a specific amount of that Pokémon during an outbreak.

The easiest way to do this is to allow a powerful Pokémon to auto-battle through the waves of spawns. After a while, if you’re lucky, a shiny Pokémon will appear.

Shiny Charm

The base odds of catching a Shiny one are 1 in 1,365 with the Shiny Charm. To get the Shiny Charm, you must complete the Pokedex and speak with Mr. Jacq, the biology class teacher.

Sparkling Power

There is a way to craft Sandwiches that will boost your Shiny rate in Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, although you’ll need to beat all the Gyms first. Once you do that, 5-star Tera Raids will appear worldwide. One of the potential rewards for beating these raids is Herba Mystica. Crafting sandwiches using Herba Mystica (they appear in the condiments menu) will give you a Sparkling Power level.

Sandwich boosts last 30 minutes, so you'll have to keep topping up on snacks if you want to hunt for plenty of Shiny Pokémon.

Masuda Method

The Masuda Method for breeding Shiny Pokemon will work in Scarlet & Violet. This special method boasts increased odds of obtaining a Shiny when breeding. To partake in the Masuda Method, you’ll combine two compatible Pokémon from various language-based games. Shiny eggs are more likely to be produced by these Pokémon. This rate of Shiny eggs in Scarlet and Violet is slightly lower in the absence of a Shiny Charm, but the odds are 1/512 with one. Combining all these techniques will allow players to maximize their chances of running into Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
